Support Groups
The Support Group Program at NEIGHBORING offers groups for those diagnosed with any brain disorder, as well as specific groups for Major Depression and Bipolar Disorder.
Groups meet weekly and are designed to provide a safe, comfortable and confidential environment in which those with similar problems and situations can freely share their mutual experiences and feelings.
In group sessions, members practice various skills that will aid in mental health recovery, as well as learn about personal empowerment.
Groups also offer an educational component, providing the latest information about mental health, coping strategies and community resources.
Occasionally, group members will meet in casual settings in the community, away from the group meeting room, for purposes of socialization and fun.
